Upon receiving the rug
What do I do as soon as it arrives?
Unwrap the rug and let the fibre air out until it regains its natural texture and pile height.
What if it arrives damaged?
Check that the model matches your order and was not damaged in transit; if the packaging is damaged, note it on the delivery note.
Is it normal for it not to match the sample exactly?
As a handmade product, size and colour may vary by approximately up to 5%.
Everyday care
How do I stop it fading or wearing unevenly?
Rotate the rug periodically to prevent fading from continuous sunlight and uneven wear in high-traffic areas.
Is it normal for it to shed fluff?
It is normal for wool or silk rugs to shed fluff at first; do not pull these fibres out by hand or with brushes, as this could damage the piece.
How should I vacuum it?
Vacuum in the direction of the pile and without a motorised brush head, which can be harmful to the rug.
How do I make it last longer?
Always lay a natural rubber pad underneath: it protects the knots on the back, stops the rug slipping and extends its life. Turn it 90° every 6 months and 180° every 12, and cut protruding threads with scissors —never pull them.
What if I need to store it?
Roll it with the pile facing inwards and never fold it: creases leave permanent marks in silk and wool. Store it flat, wrapped in breathable cotton cloth, never in plastic.
Warranty
What does the warranty cover?
Two-year warranty from delivery against any manufacturing defect, provided the care and cleaning instructions are followed.
What is not covered?
The warranty does not cover damage from negligence, impact, water or heat from heating appliances, or normal wear and tear. Products modified or repaired by the client or by third parties not authorised by Aldeoki, S.L. are excluded.
